What a terrific team! I received exceptional service from beginning to end. Every staff member I worked with was genuinely friendly and knowledgeable. I’m very glad to choose this location for my eye exam. The front desk personnel were wonderful and friendly. The technician that ran the gamut of tests for being a new patient was awesome. She was very patient with me and very helpful with directions in regards to positioning correctly on the various eye imaging machines. My visit with Dr. Katy Tan was superb. She was very thorough going over the results of my tests. I was very comfortable with her explanations and next steps going forward for my eye health. Please consider this location if you are looking for a vision provider. I believe you will be in good hands.​​​​​​​

Dr. Darran Kim has given me back my vision. After 21 surgeries, including corneal transplantsin both eyes and numerous grafts, I now have scleral contact lenses for both eyes and I can seeclearly. Dr. Kim is one of a few optometrists who can fit scleral lenses and he and his businesspartner Dr. Katy Tan have worked diligently through many lens remakes and fittings to get the best fit possible. During this process over several months, he has been patient, kind, gentle andalways answered my questions and concerns. Dr Kim cares enough to phone me between visits to see how my eyes are adjusting to the contact lenses. If you are considering seeing an optometrist, I recommend Dr. Kim at Silver Lake Eye Care for your vision needs, especially if you have medical need for scleral contact lenses.​​​​​​​
