My First Blog Post

Good afternoon!  Just so you know, this is my very first blog ever!  I’m being dragged into the world of blogging…kicking and screaming, I might add.

Brenda, Sam, Angela and I attended the Great Western Council of Optometry (GWCO for short) conference last weekend in Portland.  New optometric technology was abundant in the Exhibit Hall.  As the team wandered the the Hall, Brenda danced to the piped-in music and encouraged the vendors to join her.  Updated practices and safeguards for our patients were learned and will soon be implemented in our practice.  The weather was sunny and warm, much to our delight.   Now that I am on the board of trustees of the Optometric Physicians of Washington, I attended several OPW board meetings, was enlightened of my duties and look forward to serving with the forward-thinking members of our state association.

If you haven’t had the opportunity to meet them already, our new team members our John (Optometric Technician), Jacquie (Patient Coordinator) and Shannon (Apprentice Optician). Come in and say ‘hello.’

Dr. Sofi Alibhai has returned!  Dr. Sofi became a new mom this summer and now “desires” to get back to work.  She is seeing patients on Tuesdays, Thursdays,  Fridays and our monthly Saturday mornings.

Well, that’s it…my first blog is in the books!  Maybe next time it will be a bit more interesting. 🙂  Have a great weekend and GO HAWKS!
